Congratulations to the SA team who recently won 1st Prize for the Team Category in the 2023 Australian Soil Judging Competition in Darwin.
Led by Dr Emily Leyden and coach Luke Finn from TERN , the students were supported to attend by the SA Branch of Soil Science Australia, and also fundraised sponsorship through Grain Producers SA, Royal Show Society Education Fund and Adelaide University Research Groups: Fertilizer Technology Research Centre, Soil Ecology Group and Biogeochemical Research Group. Team members included Alex Mackenzie (UniSA), Alex Busch (UniSA), Coach Luke Finn (TERN – Biological Sciences, Adelaide Uni), Nathan Strawbridge (Adelaide Uni/SCU online), and School of Agriculture, Food and Wine PhD candidate Birhanu Iticha and Kate Matthews.
