We want to learn about your work through a creative lens.
We are looking for entries for the WRI Showcase Visual Competition to find the best photo and video representing research at the Waite Research Institute. This is your chance to get creative with animations, presentations and your camera – as long as you tell the story of your research project.
Entries will be judged in two categories:
- Photo: a captivating and well composed photo of your research work, with a fitting title and a short caption.
- Video: a short video (with a title), explaining and promoting your research. Videos should be engaging, accessible to a broad audience, and informative.
A winner will be selected separately for each category, based on the clarity with which their visual represents the purpose and relevance of their research. The photo caption and video should be aimed at a general audience, so keep technical jargon and terminology to a minimum.
Prizes
Entries will be uploaded on the Waite Campus website and online voting will be open to all WRI members in the week before the WRI Showcase.
Prize money is $100 for the best photo and $250 for the best video.Winners for each category will be announced at the WRI Showcase on the 5th of December 2022.
Entries close at 5PM on Friday 25th November 2022.
