It was a wonderful day out at the National Wine Centre for the 2023 Waite Research Institute Showcase on Thursday 7th December.
Across 16 researcher and 3 industry presentations, as well as 10 PhD flash talks, we received updates on research across WRI as well as insight into industry progress, challenges and priorities. This year, attendees were also able to browse PhD research posters during session breaks, providing a unique opportunity for students to share their research, network and practice science communication.
We extend a special thanks to industry speakers, Professor Hannah Brown (SARDI), Tress Walmsley (InterGrain Cereal Breeding), Iain Cooper and Dr. Doug Stewart (Coopers) for sharing their experience and work across research, plant breeding and beverages.
