The Prime Minister’s Prizes for Science are Australia’s most prestigious and highly regarded awards for demonstrated achievements in scientific research, innovation, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander knowledge systems.

- Science Prizes
- Prime Minister’s Prize for Science – $250,000
- Prime Minister’s Prize for Innovation – $250,000
- Malcolm McIntosh Prize for Physical Scientist of the Year – $50,000
- Frank Fenner Prize for Life Scientist of the Year – $50,000
- Prize for New Innovators – $50,000
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Knowledge Systems Prize
 Each recipient receives a medallion, lapel pin, award certificate, and prize money. For team awards, all members are individually recognised and share the prize equally.
Nomination Process
- Stage One Opens: Wednesday, 22 October 2025, 8:30 am ACST
- Stage One Closes: Thursday, 18 December 2025, 3:30 pm ACST
The process involves two stages, with shortlisted candidates invited to submit a full nomination in Stage Two.
