Dr Steve Jefferies, CEO of Australian Grain Technologies, has been announced as the incoming Managing Director of the Grains Research & Development Corporation (GRDC). He will take up his new appointment in July.
Dr Jefferies will be responsible for the development and implementation of GRDC’s five year strategic Research and Development Investment Plan, and continue the roll-out of four regional offices. See the full press release on the GRDC website.
After 24 years at the Waite Campus, Dr Jefferies said of his moving on, “I believe AGT is a very healthy business and its now time for someone else to come in to take it to the next level. I personally was looking for a new challenge and am committed to delivering value to growers, which has been what has driven me and AGT the entire time. There is no better role in Australia that can help drive value to grower and provide a greater challenge than GRDC.”
