Earlier this month, several Waite staff attended the SA Science Excellence and Innovation Awards Finalist Certificate Presentation at the Museum of Discovery (MOD).

The SA Science Excellence and Innovation Awards showcases the critical importance of science, research and innovation to the development of industry and society as a whole. The Awards provide a remarkable opportunity to recognise the work of inspiring Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Medicine (STEMM) leaders and teams working in research and education institutions, schools, industry and the community. As a significant occasion in South Australia’s science calendar, the Awards are recognised as the premier science showcase event highlighting the diversity of scientific endeavour and research across the State.

Ms Jill Bauer was recognised as a 2023 STEMM Educator of the Year (University or Registered Training Organisation) finalist. A/Prof David Jeffery and Tammika Hutton attended on behalf of the ARC Training Centre for Innovative Wine Production, which was recognised as a 2023 Excellence in Science and Industry Collaboration finalist.

The SA Science Excellence and Innovation Awards will be held on Friday 17 November 2023.
