Last Friday the Waite said ‘farewell’ to three valued members of the Campus Services team. Andrew, Julie and Henry have been serving us for many years, 23 in Andrew’s case.
They have often been the invisible team who have shaped the facilities we use, and touched every part of the campus. This team has played a key role in maintaining and improving the Waite, and we have all benefitted from their work. Whether it was a blocked drain, or a faulty air conditioner, a new gas installation in a lab or refurbishment of buildings, the team made things happen.
Sadly restructuring of Campus Services has changed the structure of the workforce, and this dedicated group won’t be with us in future. On behalf of the whole campus, I thank Andrew, Julie and Henry, and wish them all the best for the future.
