Sustainability, biodiversity, resource preservation and innovation for vines and wines within the framework of climate change

This summer school is organised by the University of Bordeaux, Hochshule Geisenheim University, the AWRI Australian Wine Research Institute and Adelaide University within the framework of the Franco-German doctoral college programme “Climate change impact and sustainability in special crops and their products” (UFA CDFA-03-18 certified – Franco-German University).
Course content will be delivered entirely in English. The programme will provide participants with scientific insight regarding French viticulture and oenology challenges, with a focus on strategies to improve vines and wines sustainability in order to address environmental issues such as climate change and food security.
The summer school is open to third year Bachelor students, first and second year Master students, doctoral students and post-doctoral fellows with a background in biology, viticulture, oenology, agronomy, environment studies, chemistry, microbiology or economy, and/or a strong interest in 21st century challenges for both vines and wines.
