Blending industry expertise with cutting-edge science, Adelaide University is testing technologies that could address some of Australia’s toughest environmental challenges
When Adelaide University, a merger between the University of Adelaide and the University of South Australia, opens in 2026, it will do so with a focus on research that meets real-world challenges. Backed by industry partnerships and involving interdisciplinary collaboration, it is research that the university hopes can make a tangible difference to people around the world.
One area in which researchers from the two merging institutions are already having an impact is the transition to a greener future. Circular reuse, sustainable agriculture and space-based biotechnology are just some of the areas being explored across Adelaide University’s metro and regional campuses.
