Registrations are now open for Climate and Carbon in Agriculture 2020! Hosted by the Climate Research Strategy for Primary Industries (CRSPI), the conference will be held 31 March – 1 April 2020 at the Adelaide Convention Centre.  The Conference Program is available on the CRSPI website (https://crspi.com.au/conference) and registrations are open. During the two-day event, CRSPI will host international and Australian thought leaders, providing attendees with their insights into adapting to and mitigating the effects of, a changing climate and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Among them will be:
  • Dr Richard Denniss, Chief Economist and former Executive Director of The Australia Institute;
  • Professor Mark Howden, Director of the Climate Change Institute at the Australian National University and a Vice Chair of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC);
  • John Connor, CEO of The Carbon Market Institute;
  • Hugh Killen, CEO of the Australian Agricultural Company.
The program will explore the latest research on the relationship between a variable climate and primary industry. The program will also host producer discussions and perspectives, while exploring how concepts can be practically applied on the ground.  Producers, researchers, policy makers, service providers and students with links to the agriculture industry are strongly encouraged to register today.
