The 3 Minute Thesis (3MT®) is a national competition that challenges Higher Degree by Research (HDR) students to effectively explain their research to a non-specialist audience in just three minutes. The aim is to cultivate their academic, presentation, and research communication skills while celebrating the exciting research conducted by HDR students across the country.

Participating in the 3MT will not only help you Learn to articulate your research concisely but also Communicate your work to a non-expert audience, Build your confidence in public speaking, Crystallise your research and write your thesis, Increase your research profile, Grow your network within the University and beyond and You might even win a prize!

All participants qualify for 5 CaRST points.
