Congratulations to Professor Rachel Burton, School of Agriculture, Food and Wine, who has been elected to the Board of Science and Technology Australia.

This is Australia’s peak body in science and technology representing 70,000 Australian scientists and technologists working across all scientific disciplines.

Rachel joins eight other new Board members who work in a range of roles at major Australian science agencies, tertiary institutions, and cross-sector collaborative organisations.

STA President Professor Emma Johnston AO said the new team brings enthusiasm, experience, new perspectives and diversity to the Board.

“Our members have elected brave, articulate, experienced and passionate STEM professionals to support STA’s bold strategy as we work towards our mission of advancing the role, reputation and impact of science and technology.”
