Highly Cited Researchers 2016 represents some of world’s most influential scientific minds. Highly Cited Researchers from Thomson Reuters is an annual list recognizing leading researchers in the sciences and social sciences from around the world and focuses on contemporary research achievement. Highly Cited Papers are defined as those that rank in the top 1% by citations for field and publication year in the Web of Science, therefore featuring authors whose published work in their specialty areas has consistently been judged by peers to be of particular significance and utility.
Professor Zhang’s research focuses on reproductive development and breeding innovation in rice (Oryza sativa) and barley (Hordeum vulgare).
