Award:
- 2,000 € prize;
- invitation to participate in the IVES annual meeting 2027 (Italy, spring 2027 – exact dates to be confirmed);
- opportunity to present research as an invited speaker during the IVES Science Meeting;
- official certificate of recognition.
Eligibility criteria:
Applicants must meet all of the following requirements:
- Be the first author of an article published in OENO One;
- be 33 years old or younger at the time of article submission;
- have obtained their most recent academic degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD) after 31 December 2021;
- have an article accepted between 15 June 2025 and 15 June 2026.
Additional conditions:
- Only articles with a final editorial decision within the eligibility period are considered;
- articles accepted with minor revisions during the eligibility period are not eligible;
- the winner must commit to attending the IVES annual meeting 2027 if selected;
- the award may be received only once per individual.
Selection criteria:
Applications will be evaluated based on:
- Relevance of the topic to the wine-producing sector and the scientific community;
- quality of the research objectives and hypotheses;
- methodological approach, including innovation or improvement of existing methods;
- significance and originality of the results;
- critical analysis and contextualisation of findings;
- relevance to the IVES Science meeting.
Award and schedule:
- Deadline for application: 1 July 2026 (00h; CET: Central European Time. UTC+1).
- Results announced by: 31 October 2026.
