The spring weather may see the magpies swooping soon but one bird needed help from Security and the firies recently.
Waite security needed to call for Metropolitan Fire Service (MFS) support last weekend when they noticed a magpie caught high in a tree by string wrapped around one of her legs.
The MFS responded promptly, and brought her down safely. Ms Magpie was then checked over by Nicola from Fauna Rescue. She was given a clean bill of health and was released.
Huge thanks to all who came together to rescue one native bird.
