Abstracts are invited and registrations now open for the XIII International Terroir Congress, to be held from Sunday 15th November to Friday 20th of November 2020 in Adelaide, Australia.

Previous successful congresses have been hosted in France, Italy, Spain, South Africa, Switzerland, Hungary and the United States of America. This year’s event is proudly hosted by the University of Adelaide.

Since 1996, this biennial event allows the scientific and industry communities to meet and discuss the latest results of research and information on the concept of ‘terroir’. The Meeting will cover the main fields in viticultural, wine and sensory research and innovation focusing on:

  • The History and Innovation of Terroir
  • People Shaping Terroir
  • Scales of Terroir and
  • Terroir Conservation.

A comprehensive program is proposed and will feature international and national experts who will cover all concepts related to ‘terroir’, including several technical visits to wine regions surrounding Adelaide. These visits will offer the opportunity for delegates to see some of the diverse soil, climate, topography and management conditions that have led to a variety of terroirs and wine styles from these wine regions.

Abstracts on the conference themes are invited to be submitted by 31st March 2020.
