The AW Howard Memorial Trust aims to promote and support pasture research. Applications opened on 15 August 2017 for the following Fellowships and Scholarships from the AW Howard Memorial Trust.
Howard Research Fellowships in the form of top-up postgraduate stipends of $10,000 per year for up to 3½ years are awarded to Australian postgraduate students or those holding similar awards to undertake pasture research. Applications close 30 October 2017.
Honours scholarships – $5,000 stipend plus $3,000 for research operating expenses for students undertaking an Honours year in pastures. Applications close 30 September 2017.
The Tim Healey Memorial Scholarship offers a $10,000 annual postgraduate stipend “top-up” for up to 3½ years for holders of Research Training Program (formerly APA) awards or equivalent for research in a field that benefits the future of Australian farming. Study areas include pastures, livestock management, farming systems, agronomy, farm business management, woody crops, on-farm biodiversity and socio-economic aspects of farming. Applications close 30 October 2017.
