HORT CONNECTIONS 2026 HELD IN ADELAIDE

 

Last week, Adelaide welcomed thousands of delegates for Hort Connections 2026. The event brought together growers, researchers, industry leaders, technology providers and policymakers from across Australia and overseas to discuss the future of the horticulture sector.

The conference featured presentations on topics including sustainability, climate resilience, biosecurity, workforce development, emerging technologies and innovation. Delegates explored how research and industry collaboration can help address key challenges facing  the future of horticulture.

The accompanying trade exhibition showcased the latest advances in horticultural technology, including automation, precision agriculture, digital monitoring systems and protected cropping innovations. Cass Collins presented about her role as the manager of the Australian Almond Breeding Program. SARDI, Adelaide University, PSBA, WRI and more Waite campus members were on display for delegates to visit and interact with.
