WHAT IS THIS PROJECT ABOUT?
This project aims to investigate the impact of biosolid (from wastewater facilities) or wastewater effluent
application on per and poly fluoro alkyl substance (PFAS) levels in sheep and cattle.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
Farms across South Australia, Victoria, New South Wales, and Queensland that have applied sewage biosolids
or wastewater on their sheep or cattle pastures in the past 10 years.

WHAT DO WE WANT TO DO?
We want to collect small amounts of blood samples from sheep or cattle livestock, up to 10 animals per farm. At
the same time, we would also collect soil and plants samples anytime from July to September (2024). We expect
this to take 1-2 hours.

WHAT FARMERS EXPECT TO DO?
Nothing and we will provide $1000 for each farm that participate in this study.

CONFIDENTIALITY:
We understand the sensitivity of this research and assure you that all results will be kept confidential and
anonymised. This is a great opportunity to test your livestock and soil completely anonymously. We can provide
a non-disclosure agreement for additional legal assurance.
