Falling Walls Lab Adelaide is part of a prestigious global pitch competition that celebrates innovative thinking from emerging leaders across all disciplines — from science, engineering and medicine to business, social sciences, the arts and beyond.
At the Adelaide Lab, you’ll present your research, business model or innovation to a panel of experts, sharing how your work helps solve some of the world’s most urgent challenges.
The University of Adelaide will host the Falling Walls Lab Adelaide 2025 on 30 July. The top two winners will travel (flights covered) to Canberra for the Falling Walls Lab Australia Finale on 1 September.
The national winner will represent Australia at the Global Finale in Berlin during the Falling Walls Science Summit on 6 November. You’ll join the top 100 international Lab winners, compete for the Breakthrough of the Year – Emerging Talents title, win prize money, and pitch again on the grand stage.
Who can apply?
You must meet at least one of these criteria:
- Currently enrolled at a university or a postdoc
- Bachelor’s degree earned within the past 10 years
- Master’s degree earned within the past 7 years
- PhD earned within the past 5 years
