Dr. Schreiber speaking with Duoxiang Wang, Julian Yue Qu, Guilherme Yoshikawa, Jiaen Qui

Dr Miriam Schreiber visited the Waite Campus on Mon 19th  and Tues 20th of August to coordinate a 2-day workshop on genomic sequence analysis. Miriam is from the James Hutton Institute and International Barley Hub, Scotland (https://barleyhub.org/our-team/). She has significant experience working with the barley pangenome, and has capitalised on diverse sequencing technologies to identify polymorphisms in candidate genes underlying mutant phenotypes,

The sequence analysis workshop was targeted towards researchers who are interested in using genome assemblies, particularly in complex crops such as barley, to support their work.

The 18 participants from the School of Agriculture Food and Wine and SARDI all enjoyed the course and learnt lots of valuable information.
