2026 J G Russell Award recognises Dr Jing He’s significant research

The J G Russell Award, administered by the Australian Academy of Science, provides early‑career researchers in the basic sciences with up to $7,000 to support experimental research costs such as equipment, maintenance, and travel. The award is invitation‑only and open annually to highly ranked recipients of the ARC Discovery Early Career Researcher Award (DECRA).

Dr Jing He was awarded an ARC DECRA in 2026 through Adelaide University. She will work on a project “Reaping Clean Power: Sustainable Energy Integration in Protected Cropping” with Prof Matthew Gilliham and Prof Zhong-Hua Chen in the ARC Centre of Excellence in Plant for Space led by Prof. Gilliham.
