SA YOUNG TALL POPPY AWARDS

Congratulations to Dr Shervin Kabiri on being named a 2026 South Australian Young Tall Poppy by the Australian Institute of Policy and Science (AIPS).

Established in 1998, the Young Tall Poppy Science Awards recognise outstanding early-career researchers who demonstrate excellence in scientific research while actively engaging with the broader community through science communication and outreach. The awards celebrate Australia’s emerging scientific leaders and inspire the next generation to pursue careers in science.

Dr Kabiri joins a distinguished group of Young Tall Poppy alumni from the School, reflecting the University’s ongoing commitment to research excellence and leadership. Shervin will officially receive the award at the 2026 AIPS Science Summit & Gala Dinner in Sydney on 11 September.
