The School of Agriculture, Food and Wine is currently seeking work experience placements from across the Waite Campus for high school students for this year.

We attract students from a number of schools and having them placed here improves the visibility of the campus/university and helps to increase the numbers of their students admitted to our degrees.

Schools arrange their work Experience period at different times of the year. We get quite a lot of students from Urrbrae Agricultural High School, partly because of the location but also because of their Agriculture/STEM focus. All of their year 10 students do their work experience in early April but they need to finalise their placements by the end of February.

If you can host a student during this period – or at any other time, please let me know as soon as possible.

I will need the following information in an email or as an attachment (to david.hart@adelaide.edu.au).

  • Name of the group and location
  • Broad discipline area
  • Nature of the work
  • Available dates
  • Contact details to be passed to the student (email/phone)

When I receive applications I will try to match their interests with the placements.

This is an opportunity for the campus to further its community involvement and I urge you all to consider hosting a student.

Thank you for your cooperation.
