Applications are open for the Tranche Scholarship.
The Tranche Scholarship is an annual award for approximately $15,000 AUD, awarded to emerging Australian wine and hospitality talent. Created by Michael Hill Smith AM MW and his family, the annual scholarship helps individuals develop their professional careers by supporting international and domestic travel opportunities.
The intention of the award is to enable recipients to develop their skills and interests both domestically and abroad. Depending on the recipient, the scholarship could be spent on educational travel and development opportunities that complement their interests, such as:
Travel and accommodation to Europe for vintage and/or producer visits.
Travel and accommodation in London to support work experience in leading restaurants.
In addition to the financial contribution to the travel, The Tranche Directors and Advisors will assist scholars, where possible, in securing appointments, visits and meetings during their travel.
