The Willunga Environment Centre is hosting Dr Douglas Bardsley, Geographer, University of Adelaide to discuss Climate Change in Agriculture and Viticulture in McLaren Vale.
Dr Douglas Bardsley is an internationally recognized lecturer and researcher in Geography, Environment and Population at The University of Adelaide. Doug has been researching climate change risk and adaptation in agricultural systems for over twenty years in many countries including Australia and France. He developed the first integrated assessment of projected climate change impacts for the Adelaide-Mt Lofty Ranges region in 2006, There’s a Change on the Way, and has followed that up with a range of local studies, particularly in the McLaren Vale and the Adelaide Hills. He teaches the Food Security course at the University of Adelaide and is interested in ways to evolve agriculture that will meet the needs of a changing climate.
