Title: Exploring drones for phenotyping in Agriculture

Presenter: Peter Kasprzak (University of Adelaide Biometry Hub)

Drones are being used in a wide range of disciplines to gather vast amounts of data that was previously unobtainable to the average farmer.  As technology marches forward, drones have become more sophisticated and easier to use.  They are only one part of the process, however.  Stitching the resulting photographs into an orthomosaic, storing the data, and manipulating large, high-resolution photographs are skills that must be mastered as well.  There are a multitude of options for each stage which vary in price, assumed technical knowledge, and quality of results.
