Concurrently, Prof Pisciotta’s research was carried out on issues relating to water and mineral nutrition, soil management, flower, and fruiting biology, grafting combinations, the study of germplasm and precision viticulture. The research also concerned the sector relating to table viticulture, with the study of production techniques to achieve the advance and delay in ripening and soilless production techniques.
Following the event, the Department of Wine Science will be running a canapé reception to celebrate teaching and research activity across 2023.
