Waite campus visit Dr Bianca Warnock for BOM ‘My Climate View’

Apr 10, 11:00 am - 3:30 pm

Dr Bianca Warnock, BOM Program Outreach Officer, will be on campus on Wednesday and would love to discuss the climate outlook tool My Climate View with anyone interested. Developed for farmers and land managers, it is incredibly important for agricultural researchers to understand the value of the tool as well.

Bianca can be found at Beltana from 11 am to 3:30 pm Wednesday 10 April. Email Bianca at bianca.warnock@bom.gov.au to see if you can nab a time to chat.

Information about My Climate View:

My Climate View is a free digital product that helps farmers and land managers understand what the future climate might look like for their location and commodity, at a 5 km2 resolution. With 22 commodities including grape, wheat, potato and almond, you are sure to find relevant information and receive tailored insights for your farm, commodity and local climate.

My Climate View is a longer-term planning tool – it contains information that can help farmers and land managers explore how future climate may impact their enterprise and consider how they may adapt their longer-term plans and production strategies. For example, the local climate and commodity information on My Climate View can help a farmer gauge whether extreme rainfall and temperature conditions they’ve experienced in the past could become more likely into the future.
