OpenSpecimen for Sample Management

Target Audience

This training is designed exclusively for staff and students who will be using OpenSpecimen to catalogue all their research samples, including but not limited to, samples in cold storage. This module contains the tools needed to create and manage boxes and samples in freezers/containers and to view samples archived in Biobank freezers, within OpenSpecimen at The University of Adelaide.

Training outcomes:

1. Navigate the OpenSpecimen system
2. View details of samples, boxes, sub divisions and freezers
3. Manage boxes (create, edit, move and delete)
4. Manage samples (create, edit, move and delete)
5. Search for samples and boxes, and run reports
