Waite researchers from the School of Ag, Food and Wine are looking for participants to take part in an odour association test at the University of Adelaide. The smell test is part of the project: Associations between odours and stages of life and will take approximately 15 min. The knowledge gained from this project may assist the wine industry in tailoring products that better meet the needs and expectations of wine consumers.

You may participate in this trial if you are at least 18 years old, an Australian citizen and have no known food allergies.

Sessions will be held between 10am and 4pm on Tuesday 26th and Wednesday 27th of November.

PLEASE schedule by clicking on the link below to choose your preferred time and date to attend the testing.

(In the case the link does not open, please copy and paste the address into your browser.)

In appreciation of your time, you will receive a small snacks (chocolate or fruit) at the end of the task as remuneration. You can also participate in a wine raffle to become one of the ten lucky winners of one bottle of wine (the odds of winning the raffle will be 1/10).

The odour association task will be held at the sensory lab in the Wine Innovation Central (WIC, level 4) (corner Hartley Grove and Paratoo Road, Urrbrae) at the University of Adelaide Waite Campus.

We are aiming to gather 100 participants for this study. If you know of someone who meets the participation criteria and is interested in this study, please pass along the details of this research project and ask them to contact the research team directly.

Please see the attached information sheet for more information about the study.
