Opportunity to join an ARC Special Research Initiative project
The Soil Science group in the School of Agriculture, Food and Wine is seeking a postdoctoral scientist to join an ARC Special Research Initiative project examining the remediation of soils contaminated by poly- and perfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). As a member of this project, you will work closely with industry to improve our understanding of the behaviour of PFAS and precursor compounds in contaminated soils and assist effective remediation of these compounds. Some interstate travel will be required.
Salary: Level A $68,912 to $92,796 per annum.
Superannuation: An employer contribution of 17% may apply.
Term of position: Fixed term position for 3 years Full time, however part time hours will be considered.
Eligibility criteria: PhD degree in chemistry, environmental chemistry or chemical engineering
