The Australian Wine Research Institute (AWRI) supports the Australian grape and wine industry through world-class research, practical solutions and knowledge transfer and is an internationally recognised centre of grape and wine research, development and extension excellence.
Applications are invited for the position of Viticulturist/Senior Viticulturist. This position will provide technical support to Australian grape and wine industry personnel, and will play a key role in the AWRI’s extension program and industry-focused communications.
The ideal candidate will hold a degree in viticulture or related discipline and preferably a postgraduate qualification. The successful candidate must also have at least five years practical knowledge of grapegrowing and production practices. Superior written and oral communication skills and a passion for advancing viticulture are also prerequisites.
The position will be based at the AWRI in Adelaide. A fixed term contract to June 2020 will be offered in the first instance.
