SUMMARY:LUMEN bar: Waite Campus Winery wine tasting
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to LUMEN Bar. \nPresented by Adelaide University in collaboration with the National Wine Centre of Australia. \nLUMEN Bar returns to North Terrace for Illuminate Adelaide 2026 with a Nu theme\, reimagining the space as an acid jazz playground inspired by London’s Nu Jazz movement of the 1980s. Expect an eclectic blend of jazz\, funk\, soul\, hip-hop and house\, brought to life by a rotating lineup of big bands featuring Elder Conservatorium alumni and current students \nOpen to the community\, LUMEN Bar offers a welcoming sanctuary nestled within Illuminate Adelaide’s City Lights program. The menu by National Wine Centre Head Chef Satoshi Kikuchi features snacks by Waite Campus chef-in-residence Karena Armstrong and former chef-in-residence Kane Pollard\, alongside a curated wine list and a free nightly program of entertainment. \nOn Tuesday\, 14 July\, a wine tasting featuring the wines made at the Waite Campus Winery alongside House of Arras will be held at LUMEN Bar. \nJukebox Sessions open each afternoon through an interactive set where guests can request tracks\, setting the tone for the night ahead. DJ sets then take over the evening\, complemented by live big band performances on selected nights before late-night DJs bring the night to a close. AU staff and students receive 15% off beverages 4pm to 6pm nightly.* \nAs part of Illuminate Adelaide’s City Lights program\, Bonython Hall will play host to Pixel Waves by renowned French artist Miguel Chevalier. In this playful artwork\, the scenes change every minute\, plunging you into a new universe in motion. \nLUMEN Bar is open 3–19 July 2026\, 4pm ’til late. \n*Discount applies upon presentation of valid Adelaide University staff or student ID. \n \n Full program HERE
