SUMMARY:Biometry Hub Webinar Workshop/Online
DESCRIPTION:Date: Tue\, 14 April 2026\, 10:00 to 11:00 AM Adelaide time \nLocation: Hybrid\, Zoom meeting and SET WT Waite Building 204 Meeting Room \nContact: biometryhub@adelaide.edu.au \nPresenter: Xin Yu\, Australian Institute for Machine Learning AIML\, Adelaide University \n  \nTowards Agentic Agricultural Data Processing and Curation  \nRecent advances in computer vision have enabled significant progress in agricultural applications\, particularly in disease detection and segmentation from images and videos. However\, most existing approaches remain task specific and operate in isolation\, limiting their ability to scale across diverse environments and large\, continuously evolving datasets. In this talk\, I will present a shift from conventional perception driven pipelines towards agentic AI systems for agricultural data processing and curation. This vision opens new opportunities for scalable and robust agricultural AI systems\, particularly in real world settings where data quality\, diversity\, and adaptability are critical. I will conclude by discussing future directions\, including multimodal learning\, continual adaptation\, and the role of agentic systems in advancing precision agriculture.
