Join us for ‘The Chemistry of Wine’ in Adelaide 

The Australian Academy of Science is excited to be part of one of Australia’s longest-running food and wine festivals—Tasting Australia

Held in Adelaide in April, Tasting Australia showcases the best produce alongside home-grown heroes—including chefs, winemakers, producers and restaurateurs.

Among the delicious lunches and dinners, farm tours, tastings and masterclasses, we are bringing science into the taste equation! 

To celebrate the International Year of the Periodic Table, we are delving into the mysterious chemistry of wine, where you can discover fascinating facts and dazzle your friends with your new-found knowledge.  

Join Yalumba chief winemaker and festival ambassador, Louisa Rose, and Professor Kerry Wilkinson from the University of Adelaide, as they delve into the chemistry of wine. Sip on award-winning Yalumba wines while Louisa and Kerry take you on a chemistry journey to remember, exploring colour, aroma, style and—yes—even faults.

Venue: The National Wine Centre, Adelaide 
Cost: $25pp + booking fee
Canapés included prior to the wine tasting and talk.
