Soil Science Australia: Fellowship Conferral & Networking Event

In 2017 Soil Science Australia awarded a Fellowship to Professor Mike McLaughlin.

A Soil Science Australia Fellowship is an honour conferred for exceptional achievement and distinction in any or all of the following areas related to soils: research, technology, teaching, extension and/or the advancement of soil science. The Soil Science Australia Fellowship recognises preeminent soil scientists; only eight of these prestigious awards have ever been conferred.

Please join with us to present Professor Mike McLaughlin with his Fellowship, hear him and close colleagues speak, and celebrate with him this momentous honour.

22 March 2018, 4:00 pm, Plant Research Centre Auditorium, Waite Campus

  • 4:00 – 4:30 Presentation by Mike McLaughlin (PRC Auditorium)
  • 4:30 – 5:00 Food, drinks and opportunity to network with soil science peers* (PRC Auditorium Foyer)
  • 5:00 – 5:20 Informal presentations by colleagues and former students of Mike’s: Sean Mason, Therese McBeath, Fien Degryse (PRC Auditorium Foyer)

Entry: Free
Food & Drinks Donation: $5 (members) | $7 (non members)

* there will also be the opportunity to discuss CPSS accreditation with the Chair of the CPSS Board and the Administrator of the CPSS program | plus the chance to be part of forthcoming events, including a Soil Physics Symposium, and the SA Branch soil science stall at the 2018 Science Alive! event.
