PAWS – Waite Reserve Hike with Friends of the Waite Conservation Reserve
Apr 18, 2:45 pm - 5:00 pm
Hey postgrads- the weather is now PERFECT for a hike through Wild Dogs Glen- right here behind the Waite campus.
If you’ve done this hike, you’ll want to come again! And if you haven’t, this is your chance to be guided through our beautiful conservation reserve and learn about it from Friends of the Waite Conservation Reserve. This is a FREE event run by PAWS. RSVP is essential.
We will be meeting at the Waite hub on the 18th of April at 2:45pm and will have Subway sandwiches, fruit, and museli bars to take. We will depart at 3 oclock sharp for the hike. Along the hike, Friends of the Waite Conservation Reserve (FOW) will point out exciting information about the land. Once at the top, we will have a quick picnic. The first 15 participants will get an exclusive PAWS hiking bag! So RSVP today!
Please note this is a HIKE- so you will need proper footwear! There is also a rather steep incline for the first part of the hike, so it is not a leisure walk. But the view from the top is very worth it 🙂 It is advised to wear a hat and sunscreen, as well as bring water.
