Creating Impact for Research

Jul 23, 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

In the social media environment, researchers can take control of their communications and tell their own stories. This session will explore how you can create a specific audience of influence and how to communicate your research in a way that will create impact.

Presented by Paul Willis, one of Australia’s leading science communicators who has engaged audiences around the world on television, radio and online. Former Director of the Royal Institution of Australia, Paul spent 14 years at the ABC as a dedicated science reporter. With a PhD in vertebrate palaeontology, Paul has a unique understanding of how media can fit with research.
