BLiSS*Adelaide 2020 virtual conference – for EMCRs & Final year PhD students
Oct 20 - Oct 23Free
BLiSS Science and Innovation Inc. is an Australian not-for-profit organisation that aims to encourage transdisciplinary collaborations to solve real world problems. Our initiatives are created by and dedicated to dynamic, forward thinking EMCRs that want to build the research of the future and make a difference to the research landscape.
Starting as a single chapter based in Queensland in 2016, the Brisbane Life Science Symposium has now expanded to three states with South Australia hosting their inaugural BLiSS*Adelaide Collaborative Symposium at Sanctuary Adelaide Zoo in 2019. With over 100 attendees, 26 presented abstracts and six interactive sessions, this unique event enabled EMCRs from a variety of scientific backgrounds to meet and connect with their peers, share their research and expertise and grow and foster innovative collaborations across the boundaries of disciplines and institutions.
BLISS*ADELAIDE IS GOING ONLINE!
Following the huge success of the inaugural BLiSS*Adelaide 2019 symposium, we are pleased to announce the BLiSS*Adelaide 2020 Virtual Conference brought to you in bite sized portions over four days. We will utilise an active social media presence, combined with a virtual conference platform to effectively engage with local Early- and Mid-Career Researchers in a safe manner during these unprecedented times.
Registrations are open for this free event being held from the 20th to 23rd October 2020. The program will feature plenary lectures from leading scientists who have successfully established interdisciplinary collaborations with guidance on how they formed their partnerships and harnessed their diverse scientific backgrounds to generate meaningful outcomes.
Delegates will also have the opportunity to present their research via a pre-recorded video abstract with a range of cash and other prizes up for grabs.
