Around 30 Waite leaders, communications staff and key users gathered to celebrate the official launch of the new Waite website at Urrbrae House on Friday 1 July.

Professor Mike Keller declared the shared online portal to the Waite Campus at www.thewaite.org open for business, encouraging staff from across the organisations to sign up for the site’s weekly alert function and to share news, events and seminars across our unique multi-partner precinct. The website will cater for both internal and external stakeholder groups and aims to be a one-stop-shop for all-things-Waite.

Designed and hosted by Arris Pty Ltd, the Waite research precinct website offers an overview of the Waite’s history and features partner pages for all the organisations, centres and groups co-located at the Waite, including contact information and links to each of their websites. Capturing the flavour of the Waite with local images, the site also presents definitive content on the Waite’s research capability (including an expertise directory), shared facilities, academic programs, engagement opportunities and prospective student and visitor information.

Members of the Waite Communicators Group at the launch: Bruno Carrocci (Arris), Keryn Lapidge (WRI), Ella Robinson (AWRI), Leanne McGrath (AGRF), Paul Grbin (AFW) and Carolyn Gadd (WRI)

As well as providing a landing place for a wide range of external stakeholders, the site is also designed to be a useful resource to staff and students, with a news feed, campus notices, employment opportunities and a shared events calendar.

The website has been resourced and developed by the WRI, with support from Arris and members of the Waite Communicators Group. It will be managed by Waite Research Institute’s Communications Officer, Keryn Lapidge.
